For this CFF project you will work in a team of three to research a G8 nation, endangered species of the nation, and regulations/laws intended to protect species and the environment. Following your research, you will work together to create a page for your nation on a class wiki.
Procedures
1. Use Wikipedia to learn about the G8, and to learn about what a wiki looks like. You should also check out the G8 website at http://www.g8.fr to get facts and information from the primary source. (Everyone in your group should complete this task.)
2. Next, research your group’s selected nation, endangered animals and plants of the nation, and environmental regulations and laws. Use reliable web sites! There is a list of criteria on the next page to guide you in your research. Save graphics to your folder on the server. (You may want to split up this task. Have one person research the nation, one person research the endangered species, and one person research the regulations and laws.)
3. After 2-3 days of research, your teacher will show you how to access the wiki at https://riderendangeredspecies.wikispaces.com. You will need to use your Novell username and student ID.

Note: Only one member of your group can work on your wiki page at a time. You when it is time to design your wiki page, work together on one computer. You may want to designate on member as the "wiki master."
4. After logging on to the wiki, click on your country’s name in the navigation bar on the left of the screen. To begin to design your wiki page, click on the “edit this page” button. A basic toolbar will appear which includes the basic editing tools for creating and editing the wiki.
5. Look at the criteria page of this wiki for a checklist of what to include on your page. You have 2-3 days to work on creating your wiki page in class. You can also work on it from home.
6. When your teacher instructs you that it is time to do so, go to the discussion page for the wiki by clicking on the tab at the top of the screen. Your group is required to post one question about your wiki page for others to reply to, and you must reply to two questions about two countries other than your own.
